Dr. Senthilverl gets more bullish on equities

  • Ups stake in Sunshine Holdings to 10%, picks up 10% of Adam Investments
High net worth and low profile investor Dr. T. Senthilverl showing signs of greater bullishness on equities yesterday stepped up his buying in the Colombo stock market. He acquired 6.3 million shares or a 4.7% stake in Sunshine Holdings Plc for Rs. 201.6 million or Rs. 32 per share, thereby increasing his stake to 11.1%, and picked up 46.7 million shares or a 10.4% stake in newly-listed Adam Investments for Rs. 233.5 million or Rs. 5 per share. Adam Investments was the third largest contributor to turnover with 51.78 million of its shares traded for Rs. 262 million whilst Sunshine Holdings emerged fourth with 6.4 million shares done at Rs. 206.2 million. Sunshine closed at Rs. 32.10, down by 20 cents after hitting an intra-day high of Rs. 32.60. Adam was down by 40 cents to Rs. 5.50. It hit an intra-day high of Rs. 6.20.
