Cabinet this week has approved the implementation of an Integrated Treasury Management Information System (ITMIS) for the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
The ITMIS is mainly aimed at automating key departments of the General Treasury of the Ministry of Finance and Planning and will cut across various functions of General Treasury activities, ensuring proper and effective management in revenue administration and integrated Treasury operations.
The ITMIS will support institutional strengthening focusing primarily on the procurement of an integrated software system to automate Treasury operations.
Cabinet approved the project on a proposal made by President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as Minister of Finance and Planning.
