Heralding a new trend in the business world, the Rotary Alumni of Sri Lanka will be staging the first ever Corporate Athletism programme on 17 January at Hilton Residencies from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. featuring some the best in the corporate world.

If there is one quality that high performing corporate executives seek for themselves it is consistence high performance in this rapid changing and increasingly pressured world. But the fact is that this would require a new skill of managing oneself the organisers of Corporate Athletism program quoted Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz from Harvard University as saying.

Registration for this unique event will strictly be on a first come first serve basis says the Project Chairperson of the Rotary Alumni Michael Jayawardene.

The Patron of Rotary Alumni veteran business personality Tissa Bandaranayake said: “I am happy that Rotary Alumni is presenting the programme given that all Alumni are recipients of the famous Rotary GSE scholarship which is offered to the top four overall business people in a country.”

The key findings of the ethos Corporate Athletism will be shared by Black Belt Karateka Rohantha Athukorala who is the Head of Portfolio Development for United Nations (UNOPS) and the Key note will be by the Sri Lankan Boxer and top business personality Dion Gomes who is the Managing Director of MAS Intimates whilst Sri Lanka’s top sports doctor Dr.Thurairajah will critique the Corporate Culture ethos and give his insights to sustained high performance.

The eminent discussion forum will feature the best names from the corporate world from the Former Sri Lankan Hurdler Kishu Gomes giving his insights to Corporate Athletsim from his experience of being the Country Chairman of multinational giant Chevron, then the Former Sri Lankan Rower Rohan Fernando the Chairman of HVA sharing how he maintains sustained performance whilst driving the entrenchdly competitive export market.

Former Sri Lankan squash player Abbas Esufally will share his insights to managing a tourism business for Hemas Leisure and being the Consul General for Bhutan how a work life balance can be achieved whilst top business woman Linda Spenladawinde will share her experience of being in the forefront for innovative fashion design but being physically fit with yoga and meditation.

The former Sri Lanka Rugby player Misverdeen will talk about recovery energy and how important it is for top business performance whilst top sports  Administrator and award winning businessman Kiran Attapattu will share his ethos to work life balance.
