Former Minister Johnston arrested

The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) yesterday arrested former Minister of Internal Trade and Cooperatives Johnston Fernando after summoning him to the FCID for a statement over allegations of financial misappropriation at Lak Sathosa.

It is reported that Fernando had allegedly procured goods from Lak Sathosa without paying for them. He is expected to be produced before the Colombo Magistrate Courts.
