Friday’s show ‘Feel Sri Lanka’ picks up

The concert of traditional dances organised by Sri Lanka Tourism every Friday at the Hotel School Auditorium, Galle Road, Colombo 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. is gathering momentum, with more industry members, sepecially the hotels, supporting the programme through publicity at points of interaction with foreigners.

The authorities have ensured a professional, back-to-back presentation at a convenient time, using experienced dance academies in Sri Lanka. It was encouraging that last Friday some senior officials of city hotels brought their high profile guests on personal invitation to witness this glamorous event while others have taken the initiative to provide transport to special guests to visit the venue.

Sri Lanka Tourism is encouraged by the positive response of the industry for this programme, which would be extended to other tourism cities in the future.
