Good rating for Sri Lanka’s skills set

Sri Lanka has got a good rating for its skills set in addition to being identified as potential leader in Asia by the business school of the world INSEAD.

Sri Lanka was ranked 39th out of 55 countries up by 3 positions from the 2007/9 survey done by INSEAD via its INSEAD eLab Skills Pyramid which focuses on literacy and basic skills, occupational skills and global knowledge economy talent. Sri Lanka scored well in the latter two.



The survey has highlighted the key contribution made by the ICTA’s Nenasala programme towards enhancing skills.

However several other Asian and European countries figure above Sri Lanka in the ranking which is topped by Finland.
