The hearing of the case for permission to appeal the London High Court ruling against Sri Lanka was scheduled to commence yesterday, the Daily FT learns.
Sources said that the Court would consider the submissions from CPC for an appeal to London High Court ruling in favour of Standard Chartered Bank last month that the petroleum utility owed nearly $162 million to the Bank over the ill-fated hedging deal.
