NDB has announced the appointment of two new Directors, Indrani Sugathadasa and Sunil Wijesinha, to the Board of Directors of the Bank.
Sugathadasa is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka. She entered the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in 1977 and has held several senior positions, including as the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Child Development and Women’s Affairs and Ministry of Plantation Industries. She was also the Chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC).
Sugathadasa holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Colombo and Master’s Degree (MBA/MPA) from Monash University, Australia. She is also a Hubert H Humphrey Fellow (Fullbright) of the City University of New York, United States.
Wijesinha is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Management Accountant FCMA (UK) and has an MBA. His experience in the financial services sector includes having been on the Boards of Sampath Bank PLC (as Deputy Chairman), Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka PLC (as Managing Director), Employees’ Trust Fund Board (as Chairman), Merchant Credit of Sri Lanka (as Chairman), Lanka Securities Ltd., DNH Financial Ltd., DFCC Vardhana Bank PLC, Colombo Stock Exchange and Siyapatha Finance Ltd., where he currently serves as Deputy Chairman.

Wijeyesinghe, Trevine Jayasekara, Kimarli Fernando, Anura Siriwardena, Sarath Wikramanayake, Chandra Ekanayake, Sujeewa Rajapakse, S.G. Wijesinha and I. Sugathadasa.
