Japan Airlines and SriLankan Airlines launch codeshare cooperation

Tokyo: Japan Airlines (JAL) and the national carrier of Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines (UL), both members of the oneworld alliance, have agreed to implement a codeshare relationship with each other for the first time, JAL announced.
The two airlines will commence codeshare flights from 2 December 2014 on UL-operated flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Colombo, Colombo and Male as well as Bangkok and Colombo.
Meanwhile, UL will place its flight indicator on JL-operated flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Seoul (Inchon), Pusan, the flights between Kansai, Chubu and Bangkok, as well as the flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Itami, Chubu in Japan.
JAL will strengthen the partnership with UL and the new codeshare services on UL operated non-stop flights from Tokyo to Colombo will offer customers more convenience and service benefits.
Reservations and sales of the new UL and JL coded flights will begin on 2 December 2014.
