Jean Jacques Cattier arrives in Sri Lanka to launch Champagne Cattier

Jean Jacques Cattier arrives in Sri Lanka today to launch one of the world’s most luxurious multiple award winning champagnes in Colombo. Jean-Jacques Catt-ier, President of Champagne Cattier, enters the Sri Lankan market on its 250th anniversary to host an exclusive launch in partnership with Global Brands, introducing the luxury brand to Sri Lanka.

The Cattier family have owned and cultivated the family vineyards since 1763 and today, the house has achieved excellence and has been noted for producing several champagnes in spectacular bottles which lends itself to the fine art of champagne presentation. In 2006, the Cattier Champagne House went onto produce the Armand de Brignac cuvee which ranked first in a blind tasting of 1,000 champagnes organised by Fine Champagne Magazine in 2010 and today, it is synonymous with supreme luxury.

Speaking on Jean Jacques Cattier’s arrival for the launch, Global Brands CEO Rahul Kashyap stated: “I look forward to Cattier’s stay in Sri Lanka. It is with great pleasure that we bring the luxury Cattier brand to Sri Lanka. Sri Lankans will now have the opportunity to experience and indulge in the world famous champagne.”

Champagne Cattier has travelled across seas to spread the cheer to Sri Lanka after decades of enjoyment around the globe. Champagne Cattier proudly offers a host of vintage and distinctive varieties that come in visually engaging bottles which marry substance with style and are appropriate for any occasion.

Earning the distinction as the official champagne of the Euro 2008 Championship, selection for in-flight service on British Airways and Air China, as well as receiving high rankings from Robert Parker and Wine Spectator, Champagne Cattier is a much sought-after luxury brand.

The exclusive launch event will be held at Hilton Colombo this weekend. The arrival of Jean Jacques Cattier marks an occasional moment for Sri Lanka as it brings an A-list celebrity to the country to launch the world-renowned Cattier luxury line in its monumental 250th year.
