Jeewaka new Chairman of Swarnamahal Financial Services

Jeewaka Edirisinghe has been appointed as the new Chairman of Swarnamahal Financial Services Plc.

The move follows the retirement of Dr. Mrs. Soma Edirisinghe in compliance with good corporate governance directive of the Central Bank to finance companies.

Jeewaka, who is the Managing Director of EAP Edirisinghe Group of Companies, counts over 25 years of extensive experience in the fields of gold, jewellery, finance, electronic media and management.

The Edirisinghe family holds controlling interest of SFS, which listed on the CSE last year. Continuing to enjoy retail investor demand, SFS share price yesterday gained by 8.3% to close at Rs. 143.
