Know your ‘Manners in Management’ this week

With proper corporate etiquette identified as a key success factor in today’s business world, Canada-based Professional Edge Consulting will host a two-day etiquette workshop  titled ‘Manners in Management’ on 23 and 24 March at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

Spearheaded and conducted by specialists Praveeni Perera, Priyangani Pannila Perera and Louise Jackson, the two-day program will consist of four workshops, two per day.





On day one topics of how to be a polite professional and communication etiquette will be conducted, while on day two workshops dinning etiquette and image consulting will be carried out. A certificate of participation will be presented at the completion of the course.

Expecting a participation of 60 to give individual attention to the participants, CEO Praveeni Perera stated that this was the first ‘out of Canada’ event for the company.

“The company offers seminars, workshops, group and individual training in business etiquette, development and image consulting in Canada. We are well known in the country and feel that the time is now right to extend our network and move in to the South Asian region,” Perera said.

With both Praveeni and Priyangani being Sri Lankans, the country was chosen for the first workshop out of Canada. Response for the workshop has been great, she said, adding that many inquiries came within the first few weeks of advertising.

“We feel such a workshop will give Sri Lankan corporates the extra plus points when dealing with international clients. With the country now entering the stages of high development, our service will be able to support and benefit business professionals here,” she said.
