Lanka IOC diesel up Rs. 5

Lanka IOC has increased its diesel prices by Rs. 5 per litre from midnight yesterday.

The increase is following the spike in global prices.

The move by LIOC was despite the Government last month reducing import tax on petroleum to 5% from 10% to keep domestic prices intact.

Originally LIOC asked for a Rs. 15 hike on petrol and Rs. 5 increase on diesel.
