Newly-appointed Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran assumed duties in his new post yesterday at the Governor’s office in Colombo. His appointment was made by President Maithripala Sirisena on the recommendation of Minister of Finance on 23 January as per the provisions made in the Monetary Law Act.
