Mahindra SLPL kicks off today; to be broadcast live in 80 countries

Sporty Solutionz Pvt Ltd, the Indian subcontinent’s leading sports rights management company, shall distribute the television rights globally for the inaugural edition of the Mahindra Sri Lanka Premier League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament starting from 10 August and to be played until 31 August.

The high-voltage, action-packed Mahindra SLPL shall be broadcast live in 80 countries worldwide. The inaugural league has generated a huge response not only in the Emerald Island but also worldwide. Leading broadcasters for the Mahindra SLPL 2012 include ESPN Star Sports in India and few other territories in Asia, Geo Super in Pakistan, Cric One, the biggest sports channel in the Middle East, GTV in Bangladesh, Media Net in Maldives.

ESPN Star Sports shall exclusively broadcast the Mahindra SLPL in India starting from the Opening Ceremony on August 10th onwards. The first match commences on 11 August and the final will be held on 31 August.

Carlton Sports Network is the official broadcaster of the event for the host nation, Sri Lanka. Sporty Solutionz Pvt. Ltd, which is exclusively distributing the forthcoming Mahindra SLPL across the globe, has termed the response for the super-exciting league as overwhelming.

YouTube shall be conducting live streaming of the inaugural 2012 SLPL. Auto major, Mahindra and Mahindra, are the Title Sponsor of the inaugural SLPL and Wisden India are the Exclusive Content Partners. The tournament is being played in line with MCC’s ‘Spirit of Cricket’ initiative.
