March inflation at 7.5%

Sri Lanka’s annual inflation rate in March was 7.5%, down from a near record high of 9.8% a month earlier, according to data released by the Department of Census and Statistics on Thursday.

Annual average inflation, measured on a 12-month moving basis, rose to a record high of 8.8%, from 8.6% in February.
