Several state institutions which deal with the private sector, especially small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs have seen new heads including some reappointments.
Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen has appointed Asoka Glass & Mirror Co. Chairman and MD Mahinda Jinasena as Chairman of the Industrial Development Board, professionals Himali Jinadasa as Director General of the National Enterprise Development Authority and Dr. M.S. Aneeson as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution. The new Laksala Chairman is Hasitha Tillekeratne, who previously served as Chairman/CEO of Sri Lanka’s National Gem and Jewellery Authority.
London nutritionist and a former Commerce Secretary Dr. R.M.K. Ratnayake is new Chairman at CWE/Sathosa while Dr. Buddhi Keerthisena has been reappointed as Chairman of the National Crafts Council.
