  • Launches special website on his engagements at the UN
President Mahinda Rajapaksa left last night to New York to participation at the 69th United Nations General Assembly which starts this week. The Government also said President Rajapaksa has launched a special website to focus on both the President’s and Sri Lanka’s activities and engagements with the United Nations System. The President launched the site prior to his participation at the 69th United Nations General Assembly in New York this week. The new site can be accessed at the following address: http://unga.president.gov.lk/ Having been a member state since 1955, Sri Lanka has and continues to engage with all U.N. systems. The new website is being launched as a repository of the President’s work at the United Nations and the Government’s collaborations with various U.N. organisations. All information pertaining to President Rajapaksa’s participation at the 69th United Nations General Assembly and other official events taking place in New York will be made available in trilingual formats in a timely manner via this website.
