Former President and UPFA Kurunegala District candidate Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday questioned what was accomplished by the Government during the 100-day program.
Addressing a public rally in Tangalle, the former President said that nothing had happened during the 100-day program, even after 180 days, except several vengeful acts.
Rajapaksa said that the people saw the cost of living was skyrocketing during the 100 days.
He said that the United National Party (UNP) had been talking about forming a national government after the election but there would not be a national government since the UPFA would have a majority to form a Government after the election.
The former President said that the UPFA was confident of clinching a majority in Parliament.
Speaking about the Tamil National Alliance’s call for power devolution and a re-merger of the North and East in its election manifesto, Rajapaksa said that the UPFA would not allow anyone to divide the country.
