The US Embassy in Colombo together with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) will host a multi-sector US trade delegation on 7 and 8 February.
Eight US companies in a range of sectors including aviation, architecture, infrastructure, education, medical, food franchise, and IT will be represented in this trade delegation. Colombo is the final leg of this trade mission that is also visiting Chennai and Cochin.
The delegation will aim to expand bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and United States by establishing mutually beneficial trade partnerships. AmCham and the US Embassy will facilitate trade discussions with local business leaders belonging to the respective sectors while the delegation is in Colombo.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has also been invited to join in the discussions and provide an opportunity for their members also to meet the visiting delegation.
Business discussions and meetings with the US Embassy, American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will take place on 8 February 2013 morning followed by one-to-one meetings with Sri Lankan entrepreneurs by prior appointment.
An AmCham networking event will be held in the evening to provide a networking opportunity for AmCham members and their guests and the CCC members.
AmCham intends organising similar business visits in the future from delegations from the US as well as from US companies operating in the Asia Pacific region.
