New US Ambassador to attend trade show

US Embassy Chargé d’ Affaires William Weinstein yesterday announced that the new Ambassador to Sri Lanka Michele Sison will participate in the US trade show scheduled to be held on 16 September.

Sison has 30 years of experience in the US Foreign Service including postings as Ambassador to the UAE and Lebanon. She has also served in India and Pakistan and as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the region.

The outgoing US Ambassador to Sri Lanka is Patricia Butenis.
