Newly crowned king in the Colombo Bourse, Ceylon Tobacco Company Plc (CTC) extended its leadership value further yesterday, moving towards a 10% share of the market capitalisation.
Trading X-Dividend, CTC saw its share price peak to an all time high of Rs. 1,290 before closing at Rs. 1, 271.50, up by Rs. 71.40 or 6%.
This gained boosted CTC’s market capitalisation to Rs. 238.18 billion or 9.87% of the total.
JKH, which lost the status of most valuable listed corporate on Tuesday, closed unchanged at Rs. 260 yesterday and its market capitalisation was Rs. 223 billion or 9.24%, down from 9.34% the previous day.
