Opposition frustrated by our success: Mahinda

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday said that the deteriorating Opposition was frustrated by the political success of the UPFA Government in ushering rapid socio-economic development in the country.

In his address at the UPFA May Day rally, the President also said that successful eradication of terrorism in the country after a 30-year curse had won lot of praise for the Government globally but a few were also undermining the achievement with narrow criticism.

However President Rajapaksa said, as reflected with the massive support for UPFA’s May Day Rally, that the people and the working class stand ready to guard the hard-won peace, stability and prosperity against various forces with sinister agendas.
