Over 20 international asset management firms are currently in Sri Lanka attending the CT CLSA Asia Frontier Forum 2017.
The three-day event kicked off yesterday with an interactive forum with Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and today they will have an audience with Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy and tomorrow with IMF Resident Representative Eteri Kvintradze.
CT CLSA said the event has drawn 31 participants from 26 asset management firms in Asia, Europe and the US. They represent some of the biggest global asset managers, including some of the largest and long standing Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) invested in Sri Lankan equities.
Panel discussions and networking events organised by CT CLSA will provide broader insight to participants on macroeconomic and pertinent themes.
The forum will also have leading corporates from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Vietnam engaging with foreign institutional investors.
On the back of the highly-successful CT CLSA South Asia Frontier Forum held in 2016, the addition of Vietnam has generated more FII interest in 2017. The event itself was re-branded as CT CLSA Asia Frontier Forum, to reflect the broader opportunities given to FIIs.
