The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), the premium business association of Pakistan, is to hold the first single country exhibition in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo in April 2012.

The Made in Pakistan Products Exhibition 2012 will be held at the BMICH in Colombo from 26 April to 1 May 2012.  RCCI President Javed Akhtar Bhatti has said that holding a single country exhibition in Sri Lanka would be beneficial to the Pakistan business community.

“Sri Lanka is the country with above 95 per cent literacy rate, no confusion of language exists between the Pakistani and Sri Lankan populations. It would be a beneficial step for the business community and the country,” Bhatti said on Friday.  Among the products displayed in the exhibition will be jewellery, office equipment, sports equipment, fashion and fabrics, petroleum products, leather goods, pharmaceuticals, handicrafts, construction and building materials, electrical appliances, furniture and house wares, etc.
