The Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit will be inaugurated today by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The summit is a public-private initiative between the National Human Resource Development Council of Sri Lanka (NHRDC) and the Association of HR Practitioners (AHRP) supported by the Employers Federation of Ceylon, ILO, ADB and the World Bank to develop a national agenda to discuss and find solutions to some of the critical Human Resource challenges facing Sri Lanka in key sectors like tourism, manufacturing, construction, foreign employment, logistics and services.
The summit will be in held on 11 and 12 August at the Taj Samudra Hotel Colombo. The summit will close with a leadership panel discussion involving key business leaders. Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe and Professor Dave Ulrich will deliver a keynote address on the skills challenges facing Sri Lanka.
The summit is expected to bring together leading thought leaders in HR and industry to provide strategic perspectives and unparalleled insights into how Sri Lanka must and should address its current and future human capital challenges.
