Polish national carrier in fortnightly charter flights to Colombo

LOT Polish flag carrier of Poland and member of the Star Alliance group has decided to operate charter services this Winter season to Colombo to offer its tourist an exotic destination with a unique service of three classes of travel – Business, Premium Economy and Economy. The flights would be operated every other week with nonstop service between Warsaw/Colombo VV. LOT Polish will depart Warsaw on Wednesday at 19.30 LT and arrive in Colombo at 08.40 LT on Thursday. Its return flight departs Colombo on Thursday at 11.10 LT and arrives the same day at a convenient time of 16.30 LT into Warsaw. Cargo agents would have the opportunity to utilise the space to transport their goods served by LOT network. Pership under the name Air Support Ltd., which has been its GSA, will handle all the arrangements pertaining to passenger and cargo services from the territory of Sri Lanka. Based in Warsaw, LOT was established in 1929, making it one of the world oldest airlines still in operation. Using a fleet of 55 aircraft, LOT operates a complex network to 49 destinations in Europe, North America, and Asia. Most of the destinations are served from its hub, Warsaw Chopin Airport. LOT Polish Airlines was the first European carrier to fly the Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner.
