Popular economist Dr. Jim Walker to visit Lanka

Asianomics Founder and Managing Director Dr. Jim Walker will tour Sri Lanka in June.

Dr. Jim Walker is considered by Asian financial and business circles as one of the region’s leading independent economists.

Based in Hong Kong, he is the Founder and Managing Director of Asianomics, an independent economic research and consultancy company providing valuable insights and strong macroeconomic analysis on investments in a range of markets to the fund management industry.

He and his team have frequently been ranked number one in the private Greenwich surveys of fund managers in Asia, Europe and America.

Dr. Walker is visiting Sri Lanka in June 2011. At the invitation of IIFL Ceylon will be meeting with Government Officials, the fund management community and the corporate sector.

IIFL Ceylon, which is a leader in promoting Sri Lankan equities in the global investors’ arena, has taken this opportunity to create greater awareness about Sri Lanka among global investing community.

IIFL Ceylon, which comes under the aegis of India’s premier financial services group, India Infoline Ltd., started operations in Sri Lanka in June 2010, as the IIFL Group recognised enormous potential in Sri Lanka’s post war economic revival.
