President Maithripala Sirisena, yesterday appointed the country’s first Right to Information (RTI) Commission. The five member commission is headed by former civil servant Mahinda Gammanpila. Former judge Salim Marsoof, Prominent RTI advocate and lawyer Kishali-Pinto Jayawardana, Attorney-at-Law S. G. Punchihewa, and T. Selvakumaran have been appointed as members of the commission.
