President to launch a new policy manifesto for election

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will launch a policy manifesto on behalf of the future presidential election, according to General Secretary of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Minister Susil Premajayantha.
Addressing a news conference at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Head Office, Minister Premajayantha said that during a national election they release an election manifesto and this time also a new manifesto was being planned to be launched for the 2015 election.
The pledges pronounced in the ‘Mahinda Chinthana’ and the ‘Mahinda Chinthana – Future Vision’ have been honoured in the new manifesto, he added.
The President launched the ‘Mahinda Chinthana’ in 2005 and the ‘Mahinda Chinthana – Future Vision’ was presented in 2010.
The Minister said the Government has fulfilled a large number of pledges given in the ‘Mahinda Chinthana – Future Vision’.
The 2015 manifesto will include the initiatives that are being planned for the future.
