A meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron is on the schedule on the sidelines of CHOGM, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said yesterday.
The President said the appointment has already been given for the bilateral talks and that he welcomed the discussion.
“He will ask many questions. But I will also have questions to ask him,” President Rajapaksa said.
Cameron has vowed to talk tough to the Government of Sri Lanka on human rights when he attends CHOGM and said he had “serious questions” for President Rajapaksa after he watched the controversial ‘No Fire Zone’ documentary.
However, the UK’s Guardian newspaper had reported up to yesterday quoting No. 10 Downing Street sources as saying no appointment had been granted for the discussions so far by President Rajapaksa.
