The multi-storeyed building complex of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) will be ceremonially declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa today (Tuesday, 11 December) at Colombo 7.

The building complex consisting of six floors is built on a 44,000 sq. ft. floor area at a project cost of Rs. 550 million.

In its capacity as the national body of accountants, CA Sri Lanka aspires to provide enhanced facilities and services for the benefit of the institute’s key stakeholders, including over 4,300 members and 37,000 students through the new infrastructure project.  The project, which was launched in May last year, was completed within a short period of time, in keeping with the country’s ambitious vision towards transforming Sri Lanka as a knowledge hub in the world, along with a skilled workforce.

The building complex houses several state-of-the-art lecture and study rooms which can accommodate up to 300 students, a fully-fledged IT laboratory with over 150 computers together with a student counselling and service centre.

The complex also boasts a lounge for networking and enhanced facilities to conduct programs for the benefit of all CA Sri Lanka members, along with a rooftop terrace and various meeting and training rooms.
