Prime Minister Ranil Wickre-mesinghe left the country last night to Singapore on a two-day official visit.
During his visit Prime Minister Wickremesinghe is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with his Singapore counterpart Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and several other ministers.
The Prime Minister’s visit aims to obtain support and funding from Singapore for the proposed development program to be implemented in Sri Lanka.
The visit is expected to attract Singaporean investors to participate in the economic revolution carry out in Sri Lanka, the Government Information Department said.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe is accompanied by International Trade Minister Malik Samarawickrema on the tour.
