Prof. Jayawardane appointed to COMBank Board

Prof. A.K.W. Jayawardane Moratuwa University Vice Chancellor and senior professor in civil engineering Prof. A.K.W. Jayawardane has been appointed to the Board of Commercial Bank Plc as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He served as the Dean, Faculty of Engineering for six years and the first NDB Bank Endowed Professor in Entrepreneurship at the Moratuwa University for one year before he assumed duties as the Vice Chancellor. He obtained BSc Eng. in Civil Engineering Degree with first class honours from the University of Moratuwa, a Master of Science Degree in Construction from the Loughborough University of Technology UK and a PhD in Construction Management from the same University. He served as the President of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. He is also a Director of Sierra Cables Plc and a member of Board of Management of several other institutions.
