Rajendra appointed to CSE Board

Acuity Stockbrokers Ltd’s Director Rajendra Theagarajah has been appointed to the Board of the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The appointment is to fill the casual vacancy arising from the resignation of Nihal Fonseka from 31 March after serving the Board for 10 years and as Chairman for five years from 2006 to 2011.

Theagarajah is the Managing Director and CEO of HNB Plc. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and has obtained an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, UK.

Following the appointment, the Board of Directors of the CSE comprises Krishan Balendra (Chairman),  Vajira Kulatilaka, Dr. Saman Kelegama, M.R Prelis, Dakshitha Thalgodapitiya, Hiran de Alwis and Rajendra Theagarajah.
