Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday joked about attempts to create unity within the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) by getting President Maithripala Sirisena, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and former President Chandrika Kumaratunga to work together.
Speaking in Parliament, the Prime Minister said he extends his fullest support to create friendship between the three SLFP leaders.
“I give my fullest support,” the Prime Minister said to the laughter of others in the Government.
Sirisena is currently the Chairman of the SLFP while former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and former President Chandrika Kumaratunga are advisers. (Colombo Gazette)
