Veteran ex-banker Ranjith Fernando has been appointed as the Chairman of the Urban Development Authority.
The appointment was handed over early this week by Minister for Urban Development Water Supply and Drainage Rauff Hakeem.
Fernando was a former Secretary of the Ministry of Enterprise Development, Industrial Promotion, Industrial Policy and Constitutional Affairs and was a longstanding CEO/ Director of the National Development Bank of Sri Lanka. He also served as the Chairman of the United Motors Lanka Plc.
