Ravi Dias joins Seylan Bank Board

Seylan Bank announced the appointment of senior banker Ravi Dias as a Non-Executive Director to its Board of Directors. The appointment is with effect from 29 May.

Dias is a banker by profession, having served Commercial Bank of Ceylon for a long period and retired after serving as its Managing Director/CEO in July 2014.

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK, holds a Degree in Law (LLB) and is a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow.

Dias serves on the Boards of Carson Cumberbatch PLC, Senkadagala Finance PLC, Tokyo Cement (Lanka) PLC and Ceylon Tea Marketing Group. He is a Committee Member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Chairs the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Steering Committee, a sub-committee of the chamber.

He has in the past served on the Boards of Commercial Development Company PLC, Commercial Insurance Brokers Ltd., Lanka Clear Ltd. and Lanka Financial Services Bureau Ltd. and was a Council Member of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon.
