Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, during his recent visit to London, had talks with the Chief Executive Officer of Marks and Spencer Company, a leading international business enterprise.
The Chief Executive Officer of the company Marc Bolland requested Minister Karunanayake to widen the scope of investment opportunities in Sri Lanka. He said Marks and Spencer was prepared to give priority to Sri Lanka when investing in the garment industry and several other fields. He said Sri Lankan employees in the garment industry had shown exquisite performance and skills when compared to their counterparts from other countries
