REUTERS: The Sri Lankan rupee edged down 0.04% to end at Rs. 130.65 per dollar on Tuesday, compared with Monday’s close of Rs. 130.60 Thomson Reuters data showed, and analysts attributed the fall to dollar demand from importers.
The rupee has fallen 0.19% for the week mainly on importer dollar demand.
It fell 3.12% in June as foreign investors pulled out of Sri Lankan Treasury bonds due to a rise in US Treasury yields on concern the Federal Reserve would soon start trimming its stimulus program.
