Sampath Bank sponsors 10 Moratuwa Uni. students for Summit

In a proactive gesture to empower with future generation with knowledge and skills, Sampath Bank has come forward to sponsor 10 students from the University of Moratuwa Faculty of Information Technology, to attend the Cyber Security Summit 2013 today.
The 10 selected students will attend the full day summit as well as the evening demonstration of live demos of hacking.
Sampath Bank is ranked within the country’s top 10 brands in the LMD Brands Annual 2012 and it is a household name that is synonymous with responsible business practices.
Having completed 25 years in successful operations last year, Sampath Bank is synonymous with pioneering innovation and technology. The Bank believes education is necessary to bridge the social and economic inequality and has taken a number of initiatives to promote education and the dissemination of knowledge within the country.
The sponsoring of 10 students from the University of Moratuwa will provide an opportunity these students to keep abreast with latest developments, issues and trends concerning cyber security and overall Information communication technology landscape.
