The Honorary Consul to Slovenia in Sri Lanka, Sanath Ukwatte, was made Honorary Consul-General to Slovenia by the Slovenian Government yesterday, a move which acknowledges his immense contribution to strengthening democratic relations between the two countries.
Ukwatte was awarded the title at the Slovenian National Day celebrations, which were held last night at the Mount Lavinia Hotel.
