The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) in association with the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation telecasts a live one-hour television series in Sinhala titled ‘Prathilabha’ on the capital market on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m.
This programme, which was initiated for the purpose of imparting proper capital market knowledge and awareness on the benefits of capital market investments, has become very popular among all sections of society. The programme is in the form of studio discussions and interviews covering a wide spectrum of topics ranging from investing in the stock market, unit trusts and the debt market. ‘Prathilabha’ will feature SEC Chairperson Indrani Sugathadasa and SEC Director General Malik Cader. It is envisaged that this programme will give viewers the opportunity to gain insight into the policy decisions taken by the SEC in order to enhance investor confidence and establish a robust and efficient capital market.
