Serene Pavilions saga: Court issues warrant on 3rd respondent

When the case involving the parties to the Serene Pavilions dispute was called for objections in the Appeal Court, respondents moved further time to file objections.
Notice regarding contempt of Court had been issued to the 1st petitioner-respondent and 3rd respondent-respondent. Only the former was present in Court.
His Counsel had stated that he had to leave the country for an urgent matter. Upon being questioned as to when he left the country, Counsel had stated that he has no instruction on that matter.
In the circumstances, Court directed a warrant be issued against Warnakulasuriya for his arrest and in the event of arrest, release him on bail on producing two persons acceptable to the Police as sureties and on Rs. 100,000 in cash.
The case will be called again on 1 July for the objections finally of the petitioner-respondent and the 3rd respondent-respondent.
Petitioners in this case include Serene Pavilion Ltd. and Anura Lokuhetty.
