This is Sharma’s second stint in Sri Lanka as in 2003 she worked with Ogilvy Sri Lanka as Executive Creative Director and under her creative leadership Phoenix Ogilvy was the first agency in Sri Lanka to be recognised at the international awards, winning finalist status at Cannes, London International & Clios and the best of Sri Lanka at the Indian awards show (the Abbies).

The agency’s work was also recognised by the network globally and was published in Ogilvy Red Hot, selected by the Ogilvy Worldwide Creative Council.

Sharma left Ogilvy Sri Lanka to join Lowe Bangkok as Regional Creative Director for South Asia and South East Asia to work across Unilever brands Walls Ice Cream, Signal & Close Up, RexonaDeos, CLEAR anti dandruff shampoo, Citra skin care range, Sunlight and OMO detergent.

She then joined Saatchi & Saatchi in New York as the Creative Director, North America for their P&G brand, Head & Shoulders - The No. 1 Anti Dandruff Shampoo in the world, with the amazing Sofia Vergara as their brand ambassador.

Sharma was also selected for the Cannes-Berlin Creative Leaders program and the Hyper Island digital masterclass.

Besides Advertising, Sharma’s passion lies in using her communication skills to impact the humanitarian issues that concern our world. To fuel this passion, she completed her postgraduate studies in Human Rights and in 2011 she had the privilege of creating the first-ever social media campaign for the UN to create awareness on Human Rights globally. For this, she was invited as a UN guest to New York on Human Rights Day by the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navanethem Pillay.

Sharma is now returning to her “home turf” as she puts it, with a wealth of experience and considerable international exposure.
