The election manifesto of common opposition Presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena is to be released on 19 December, former Minister Rajitha Senaratne announced yesterday.
He said that the manifesto will detail how the common opposition will look to ensure good governance and also continue with the existing development projects in a transparent manner.
It will also note the measures Sirisena will take to offer urgent relief to the public.
Senaratne said that the common opposition, under Maithripala Sirisena, will look to achieve its goals according to a set timetable.
Meanwhile, speaking at a separate event, Senaratne said that he had assured a Chinese diplomat that the Opposition will continue with the Chinese projects in a transparent manner.
He also accused the Government of using state funds during the election campaign, money which comes out of the public’s purse. (Colombo Gazette)
