Newly-elected SLFP MPs met with President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday, the Presidential Media Division said.

Former Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, former Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala De Silva and ousted general secretaries Anura Yapa and Susil Premajayantha were prominently seated near President Sirisena at the meeting.

UPFA Kurunegala District MP Mahinda Rajapaksa, also a member of the SLFP, failed to show up for the meeting.
