Softlogic gets Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream master franchise rights

Softlogic Group is entering the ice cream business with the exclusive Master Franchise rights to import and retail world-renowned Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream and allied products in Sri Lanka. 

The company said its fully-owned subsidiary Softlogic Restaurants has entered into an Asset Sale and Purchase Agreement with Blue Ginger Ltd. for the new venture. 

Softlogic is currently the Master Franchise-holder for the Burger King brand in Sri Lanka and commenced operations in December 2013.

Baskin Robbins is the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shop restaurants. Softlogic said the acquisition of the Master Franchise rights of Baskin-Robbins will create significant synergies within its retail and Quick Service Restaurant sector.
