Special New Year transport information via 1919

Information about the special bus and train transport services in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year can be obtained by calling the Government Information Centre (GIC) on 1919, said the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA).



ICTA says that by calling 1919, commuters could know the special transport arrangements including the timetable implemented by the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and the private bus service.

According to ICTA, details about the trains plying from the Colombo Fort Railway Station under the special New Year transport arrangement could be known by calling the GIC (1919) as well as by visiting the GIC website.

ICTA said that information about bus transport services and the Southern Expressway Route Transport Services could also be known by calling 1919.

 The GIC website is www.gic.gov.lk.
