Sri Lanka and Japan sign four deals for cooperation

Sri Lanka and Japan on Sunday signed four agreements to further cooperation between the two nations with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Mahinda Rajapaksa being witnesses.
The agreements were: Exchange of Notes for Yen Loan for the ‘Digitalization of Terrestrial Television
Broadcasting Project’, ‘Memorandum of Cooperation on the Vitalisation of Intergovernmental Economic Policy Dialogue’ between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of External Affairs of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, ‘Memorandum of Cooperation in Agriculture and Related Fields’ between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Sri Lanka and ‘Letter of Intent’ between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan and the Ministry of Technology and Research of Sri Lanka on cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation.
